SAVE WILD CATS FOUNDATION

Cooperation with UPWr

What scientists can do for wild cats?

One of the most effective ways to increase the population of wild cats is reproductive support. Unfortunately, in vitro fertilization procedure is extremely complicated and requires an experienced expert. That is why we established cooperation with The Department of Reproduction with the Clinic of Farm Animals at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław.

Why Wrocław?

The Department of Reproduction deals, among other things, with collecting genetic material, assessing its value and freezing it in a cryopreservation process. They practically use collected DNA for reproductive support, in vitro fertilization of livestock and wild animals, and tissue engineering and cloning.

Light at the end of a tunnel

We believe that modern research methods will allow us to sustain the existence of many endangered species. Using knowledge and achievements of scientists from Wrocław we aim to bring help where it is needed the most.
